About Me
I’m Karen Wunder, Licensed Professional Counselor in Roswell, Georgia with North Fulton Counseling, Psychotherapy, & Consulting. For over 20 years I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of the most challenging and transformative moments of their lives. My work with clients includes trauma, recovery from eating disorders and substance use, as well as depression and anxiety, relationship dynamics, and boundaries.
I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University. Beyond the credentials, what matters most is this: I believe deeply in people’s capacity for healing, growth, and change, even when they can’t see it in themselves yet. I am an advocate and ally for every person on this journey.
My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique story. You can learn more about how I work on my My Approach page.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m at home with my husband, three Golden Retrievers, and five cats (yes, it’s a full house!). When I’m not with clients, you’ll often find me with a good book — I’m especially drawn to novels of all kinds, and nonfiction focused on the Civil Rights movement and other social justice issues. I also volunteer for Furkids, Adopt a Golden Atlanta, and ANAD (National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders).
I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re feeling ready or are unsure of where to start, I encourage you to reach out. Let’s connect.
